Large language model (LLM)

A model trained on large amounts of text that can read and write language, the technology behind ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

Businesses use LLMs through an API, paying by the amount of text processed. The same model can behave differently after an update, which is one reason ongoing monitoring matters.
